I have removed BuddyPress from MyWordpress due to performance issues.

The concept of BuddyPress and the ability to integrate it into WordPress is great and though there have been a number of suggestions/solutions to performance issues it really does not work for me.

To be honest one of the great things about WordPress is the ‘Plug n Play’ set up and for the general user to have to start messing with server settings etc is a big negative. 

There again it could just be the way this site is set up.
